The Welder’s 2023 Holiday Buying Guide

There’s no doubt about it: We saw a couple of reindeer carb-loading the other day, Santa ordering a bunch of coal, and some of the best deals of the year on welding equipment; the holidays are officially here!

That being said, getting the most out of this year’s winter promotions can be as challenging as scaling the blistering peaks of Mount Crumpit. Allow us to be your humble sherpa and guide you through the most important deals of the 2023 holiday season.

Going Beyond Rebates

The holidays are a big time for cash-back rebates on some of the top welding brands. We’ll be covering the best rebates you should know about later in this article, but it’s important to understand that you can make your money go even further by choosing the right online store to buy from.

Don’t be fooled into believing every online welding store is the same. That thinking couldn’t be further from the truth, and trusting your hard-earned cash to the wrong place could leave you in quite the Christmas pickle.

Small online stores are the biggest risk. If there’s any issue with your order, you could spend the next few months playing telephone tag with their customer service. This is why at Welding Supplies from IOC, we pride ourselves on having the best customer service of any online welding store on the internet. That’s a claim we don’t take lightly and one we’ll back up 110%.

You can also take your purchases beyond manufacturer rebates with loyalty programs. For instance, you can join IOC’s loyalty program for free, which gives you points for every purchase that can be redeemed for discounts or free products.

Finally, by checking our IOC emails often, you’ll be able to learn about special deals that often stack with manufacturer rebates.

For instance, right now is Weldivus at Welding Supplies from IOC. It’s a holiday established specifically for welders where a giant, magical engine-driven machine flies through the skies with a flurry of gentle sparks, dropping discounts for you and me. During Weldivus, you can get up to $375 off your order—on top of the manufacturer rebates mentioned below. That’s a serious chunk of change you could be saving! Build with Blue: Winter Edition

After a few years of almost no rebates, Miller has come back with a vengeance. This year’s holiday edition of Build with Blue has up to $2,200 in rebates! It’s important to understand that the rebates only apply to certain machines, which you can see a full list of here.

Build with Blue

Most notable among the select machines are some massive rebates on Miller’s welder/generator series. The new Bobcat 265 doesn’t come with a cash rebate, but it does include a FREE Spoolmate 200. Considering a new Spoolmate 200 costs $1,443.00, that’s about as good of a free item as you’re gonna see with any promotion. Look at it this way: The Bobcat 265 starts at around $7,300 meaning Miller is essentially giving you back 20% of your purchase with a free Spoolmate 200.

We should also note that with Build with Blue, you can actually get additional cash back when purchasing one of the qualified machines.  All you have to do is include other Hobart or Miller products in the same order, and you can get up to $200 in additional savings. Check out the Build with Blue details for more info.

Lincoln: Buy Red, Save Green

If you’re more of a Lincoln fan, some excellent rebates are happening this time of year for you. Similar to Miller, Lincoln’s promotion offers various cash-back rewards depending on the specific machine you’re looking to purchase.

Lincoln Rebate

One of the most notable deals from Lincoln right now includes $600 back on the Lincoln Squarewave TIG 200. We’ve written a ton about this machine in the past, and it’s still one of our favorite TIG machines of all time. $600 back is one of the best promotions we’ve ever seen on the Squarewave, making this a no-brainer if you’re a TIG welder.

Lincoln is also offering $500 back on the Tomahawk 1000 Plasma cutter with a 25 ft hand torch. The Tomahawk 1000 is a pretty powerful machine, capable of cleanly cutting up to 1-inch mild steel. If you’re considering one of these beasts, this most likely isn’t your first plasma cutting rodeo, and you already know a good deal when you see one.

Finally, it’s worth noting that the Lincoln Power MIG 215 MPi has a $400 rebate. The 215 has replaced the much beloved (and no longer manufactured) Power MIG 210. However, before you shed a tear for the 210, make sure to check out our review on the 215. The 215 will cost you the same as the old 210, but gives you more in almost every way—especially when there’s a $400 rebate.

ESAB Burn & Earn

Finally, ESAB has up to $200 in rebates this holiday season. While the list of applicable products is noticeably less than Miller and Lincoln, there are some golden nuggets to be found here. In particular, the A60 has a $50 rebate. As the successor to the famous A50 Sentinel helmet, the A60 is just as cool but has a 40% larger viewing area.

ESAB specials

You won’t find a better time to buy than right now. With these killer rebates and additional benefits of buying from IOC, you can ensure you’re getting the most out of your money. This is especially true as most welding machine manufacturers will raise their prices on their equipment starting in early spring.
